"Life is a maze. You aim to reach a point but you find yourself running in some alien direction. Those who keep the heart of not giving up are the ones who set examples of courage and endurance".

Ankur Warikoo, a young man who came from  a middle class family had planned it all. From graduating from Hindu college to getting full scholarship to pursue PhD in US, Ankur had everything under control. Sounds pretty normal right? But normal things do not make names.

While studying in the US, Ankur started to feel like a robot. He did not have control over his own life. He dropped out. His family was devastated. Ankur’s father’s start-up had just failed and the family had entered a debt. But Ankur, being the valiant person he is, did not look back. He would rather live the days of struggle than being life’s puppet. He took a job of 15000 rupees at a corporate training firm, pursued MBA and worked as a management consultant for three years. In the year 2008, he co-founded his first start-up, Accentium Web. He remembers this being a bold move, for this time period was the peak of his career and by then he had a 3-year-old kid. Some people would have thought of him as a madman but Ankur was nothing but confident. A man knows his capabilities the best and the day he starts doubting himself, is the day he starts being normal. After setting up 2 more start ups, Ankur founded nearbuy.com, India’s No.1 Lifestyle app in 2015. He saw the fair ups and downs of the company and just when it broke even, he stepped down in 2019. This was around covid-19 breakout.

Now jobless, with 5 months worth of savings and 2 kids, Ankur was anxious. What to do? A person with a rich skill set never sleeps hungry. And thus, Ankur Warikoo started his journey as a content creator. This was not solely a means of earning but something he genuinely enjoyed doing. He wrote a book, named it “Do Epic Shit” and intrigued every teen, every prodigy who aspires to do something exceptional, something big and something that would give him enough power to not fear the failures.

Today Warikoo is a serial entrepreneur, a bestselling author, an online educator and a content creator. He would not have been here if he dared not to take the risks and bear the consequences. If you are someone who is using youtube without premium, you would be seeing Ankur Warikoo almost everyday in your youtube ads. He has earned a rich fame amongst the Gen-Zs who follow him to take all sorts of tips- about investing, about facing failures and about being courageous enough to be different from the normal. Ankur was part of Fortune Magazine’s 40 under 40 and his achievements justify the golden rule of investing- “Higher the risk, higher the returns.”
